FUFU n’ Sauce LLC (“FUFU n’ Sauce,” “we,” “us”) is a Missouri limited liability company operating the restaurant at 8100 Page Avenue, University City, Missouri 63130, and the website at fufunsauce.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect from you, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over that information.
We care about keeping this policy honest and readable. If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@fufunsauce.com and we will answer in plain English.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly: name, email address, phone number, delivery or billing address, birthday if you give it for a loyalty perk, and any message you type into our contact forms, catering inquiry forms, or the Ama AI assistant on our site.
Payment information: when you place an order we collect the details needed to charge you, but card numbers and bank credentials are tokenized and handled by Stripe (including Stripe Connect for any tenant payouts). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Automatically collected: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP, and cookie-based session identifiers. With your consent, we use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic reporting.
From third parties: if you sign in with an identity provider through Supabase Auth, we receive your email and any public profile fields the provider shares. If you place an order through DoorDash, Uber Eats or another delivery marketplace, that platform — not us — controls your data.
2. How we use your information
- To prepare and fulfill your food orders, catering requests, and gift card purchases.
- To send transactional email and SMS (order confirmations, pickup-ready notices, receipts) via Resend for email and Telnyx for SMS.
- To run our loyalty program and gift card balances.
- To respond to customer service requests through the Ama AI assistant and through human staff.
- To send marketing email only if you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
- To measure how the site performs and fix bugs.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- To comply with our legal obligations (tax, accounting, law enforcement requests with valid process).
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for two broad purposes: (a) strictly necessary session cookies that keep you signed in, remember your cart, and prevent fraud; (b) analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are popular. The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. Necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the site will not function without them.
You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Some features (saved cart, logged-in state) will stop working if you do.
4. The Ama AI assistant
Ama is our in-house AI chat assistant. When you talk to Ama, your conversation is sent to a third-party large language model provider (Anthropic) to generate replies, and stored in our database so our team can review quality and improve the product. Do not put sensitive personal or financial information into Ama. If you want a conversation deleted, write to info@fufunsauce.com.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS certified).
- Supabase — database, authentication and storage (hosted in the United States).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Telnyx — SMS notifications.
- Anthropic — powering the Ama AI assistant.
- Railway — application hosting.
- Cloudflare — DNS, TLS, caching, and edge security.
- Google Analytics — aggregate traffic reporting.
- Law enforcement or government agencies when required by valid legal process.
- A successor entity in the event we are acquired, merged, or reorganized.
6. SMS messaging and consent (A2P 10DLC)
We send SMS text messages to customers who have explicitly opted in. Opt-in happens in one of three ways: (a) checking a consent box during online order checkout at fufunsauce.com; (b) submitting your phone number on our website subscribe form next to clear SMS consent language; or (c) texting JOIN to our sender number after seeing signage at 8100 Page Ave, St. Louis. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and transactional SMS from FUFU n' Sauce. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
How to opt out: reply STOP to any text at any time and you will be unsubscribed immediately. Reply HELP for help, or contact info@fufunsauce.com or 314-200-5581. Opt-out is processed at the platform level and applies to every FUFU n' Sauce SMS stream.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for their marketing purposes. Phone numbers are disclosed only to Telnyx, our SMS delivery vendor, and only for the sole purpose of transmitting the messages you asked to receive. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services (like Telnyx) is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep order records for at least seven years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Marketing email lists are kept until you unsubscribe. Chat logs with Ama are kept for up to 18 months. Inactive customer accounts are automatically archived after three years of inactivity and deleted on request.
8. Your choices and rights
You can update your profile, change your communication preferences, or delete your account at any time from the account page. You can also email us at info@fufunsauce.com and we will handle it manually. Or use our direct tools:
9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (i) know what personal information we collect and how we use it; (ii) request a copy of your personal information; (iii) request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions; (iv) correct inaccurate personal information; (v) opt out of “selling” or “sharing” personal information — though we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To exercise these rights, email info@fufunsauce.com with the subject “CCPA Request.” We will verify your identity before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and the right to object to processing. Our legal bases are contract performance (to fulfill your order), legitimate interests (to run our business and prevent fraud), consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax records).
If we transfer your personal information outside the EEA/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
11. Children
FUFU n’ Sauce is a family-friendly restaurant, but our website and ordering platform are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@fufunsauce.com and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) for all connections, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls inside Supabase, and a small team with tightly scoped permissions. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you without undue delay and within the timeframes required by applicable state law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders. Continued use of the site after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
